OBITUARY: Narklin Arine Leviner

Narklin “Ann” Arine Leviner, 72, of Hamlet, passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2024 at her home.

She was born Oct. 2, 1952 in Scotland County, daughter of the late Alexander Leviner Sr. and Laura Bell Jeffery Leviner.

Ann was a member of Bible Freewill Church of Worship in Hamlet. She loved to fish and loved her four-legged babies, her dogs. She was a hardworking mother and always took care of her children’s needs. Family was most important to Ann and being the eldest sibling in her family, she took pride in helping raise them. She will be dearly missed by her family and all that loved her.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother who raised her, Esther Mae Leviner; brothers, John William Leviner and Robert Leviner; and sister, Betty Jean Leviner.

Ann is survived by her children, Bobby Leviner and Elizabeth Cherry, both of Rockingham, and Melissa Cherry (Shane) of Hamlet; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Donnie Leviner (Sonya) of Charlotte, the Rev. James “Tommy” Leviner (Robin), Alex Leviner Jr. (Jackie), Richard Leviner and Michael Anthony Leviner, all of Hamlet, and James A. Leviner of Rockingham; and sister, April Leviner of Hamlet.

A memorial service to celebrate Ann’s life will be Friday, Dec. 6, 2024 at 4 p.m. at Bible Freewill Church of Worship, Hamlet, with the Rev. James “Tommy” Leviner officiating.
