OBITUARY: Pamela Kathleen Morse

MARSTON — Pamela Kathleen Morse of Marston, and formerly a Maine resident for the last 49 years, will be grievously missed by family and friends. She decided to be forever young while resting peacefully in God’s Grace on the afternoon of May 23, 2023.

Pamela was born in Hackensack, New Jersey, on May 29, 1951, the daughter of Kenneth R. Gross and Elaine Mary (Perry) Gross.

She graduated from Woodridge High in 1969.

Survived by her two children, Brenda Cocchio (Jeff) Moss and Bryan E. Cocchio from first marriage to Joseph Cocchio; her two brothers, Kevin Gross and wife Irina Kanash, Kenneth Craig and wife Pam Gross; three stepsons from her second marriage to James R Morse, Stephen, Michael and Scott Morse; and six step-grandchildren, Stephen Jr., Ester, Annie, Joey and Devin and Crystal.

While living in Solon, Maine, she served as a single foster parent for 12 teenage girls over the course of 10 years. Relocating to Benton, Maine, she worked with patients that had cognitive disabilities. She retired from Cyr Bus Service out of Augusta, Maine, after 10 years as a bus driver.

Years of owning and riding horses, her life’s dream was only realized after adopting her first donkey. Breeding and showing donkeys soon followed. She loved her herd of acquired miniatures, mules and mammoth donkeys but it was breeding of her paint asses she was most proud of.

Known for her love and light to everyone she met and held dear, she was always available day or night. Pam never met a stranger, a kindred spirit to all. A giver, a helper and a prayer warrior, always standing in the gap for all in need.

At the family’s request, there will be no funeral or visitation hours. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and posted on Pamela’s Facebook page for friends and family to attend in the coming months.

Special thanks to Mona at Gentle Touch in Rockingham for connecting our family with her caregiver Regina Reep, who has been a true blessing and now a member of our family! Thank you also to Gloria for allowing her to laugh and enjoy her afternoons was appreciated.

Online condolences may be made at watson-kingfuneralhome.com. Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham is serving the Morse family.
