ROCKINGHAM — Paul “Boot” Robinson Jr., 68, of Rockingham, passed away Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022 at Richmond County Hospice Haven.
He was born July 11, 1954 in Hamlet, son of the late Paul Robinson Sr. and Pearl Knight Robinson Quick.
Mr. Robinson proudly served our country in the United States Army. He was a fan of NASCAR racing and, in his younger days, raced go-carts. He enjoyed football and loved visiting the beach. Boot loved his family dearly and unconditionally.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Robinson Sr. and Pearl Quick; sisters-in-law, Renee Diaville and Darleen Diaville; and brother-in-law, James LaCombe.
Mr. Robinson is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline Diaville Robinson of the home; daughters, Amanda Kohl (Mike), Paula Hicks (Eddie), and Sydney Robinson; brothers, Bruce Quick (Faye) and Jerry Robinson, all of Hamlet; sister, Terry Sue Malloy (Wayne) of Hamlet; sisters-in-law, Carlene Deaville (Keith) of Eunice, Louisiana, and Phyllis LaCombe of Mamou, Louisiana; six grandchildren; and nieces and nephew, Tammy Malloy, Nikki Leviner and Jerry Allen Robinson Jr.
At the request of Mr. Robinson, all services will be held private.
At other times, the family will receive friends at the family home, 330 Lake Road, Rockingham.
