ROCKINGHAM — Peggy Gardner Lampley, 83, of Rockingham, completed her earthly journey on Friday, May 26, 2023.
Mrs. Lampley was born Dec. 18, 1939 in Guilford County, a daughter of the late Shubert and Gertrude Crutchfield Gardner.
She was a member of Roberdel Baptist Church and had worked as a CNA at Richmond Memorial Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lendon L. Lampley and four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her children, Priscilla Lampley Kindley (Joe) and Lendon Wayne Lampley (Kathy); grandchildren, Leigh Ann White (Jason), Curt Kindley (Paige), Matthew Lampley, Robert Emerson (Renee), Gabriel Griesbach and Zachary Griesbach; and great-grandchildren, Brooks Blackman, Kaylin White, Blaine White and Margaux Emerson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Roberdel Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Dennis officiating. Interment will follow in Green Lake Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:45–1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the church and at other times at the Kindley home.
