Peggy Millen Cain, 77, of Rockingham, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Richmond County Hospice Haven.
She was born Sept. 1, 1945, in Richmond County, daughter of the late John James Millen and Gracie Smith Millen.
Peggy was a family oriented lady. She dearly loved her husband, Robert, and prior to his death, they celebrated more than 54 years of marriage. She loved her girls and especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Cain; and 13 brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her daughters, Sheri Cain Parks (Ricky) of Hamlet and Teresa Cain Brown (Charlie) of Woodbine, Georgia; grandchildren, Hunter Parks Wall (Blake) of Angier, Chaz Brown (Hailey)of Chelsea, Alabama, Devon Brown Sparks (Aaron) of Warner Robins, Georgia, Myranda Brown of Rockingham, and Heather Parks Bergeron of Schenectady, New York; great-grandchildren, Jettson, Louis, Maxwell, Graham and Aiden; and many extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the family home on Chalk Road, Monday and Tuesday, July 17 and 18, 2023. Per Peggy’s request, no formal services will be held.
