ELLERBE — Phillip D. Hinson, 72, of Ellerbe, passed away on Nov. 9, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
Phillip was born on April 5, 1950, in Moore County, a son of James Hinson and Etta Alice Comer Hinson.
He attended Westmoore School and was employed at Uwharrie Environmental Services in Mount Gilead.
Phillip is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann Hinson of the home; children, Jennifer Duguay (John), Laurie Cox (Tim); son, Lewis Hinson; Teresa Lambeth (Andy), son, Terry Ginter, Shannon Harris (John); sister, Alene Reeder; brother Hubert Hinson(Wanda).
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe, with Pastor Odell Shepard officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
