ROCKINGHAM — Rhonda Gail Pate, 65, of Rockingham, passed away at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital May 24, 2023.
Rhonda was born in Robeson County Dec. 15, 1957.
Rhonda was a hardworking woman who enjoyed many passions in life. Prior to starting her family, Rhonda worked for many years as a CNA at Care Inn. Outside of work, she loved to cook and clean. Rhonda loved and adored her grandchildren, taking care of them meant the world to her. Rhonda was a loving and hardworking woman that many will miss.
Rhonda is predeceased by her mother, Ruby Ann Lassiter; her sister, Deborah McGlothen; and a special friend, Kenneth Wayne Batton.
Rhonda is survived by her father, William Lassiter; daughters, Dana Pate Childs of Rockingham, Kimberly Pate of Indian Trail, and Linda Salunke of Anna, Texas; siblings, Betty Barfield (Hal) of Laurinburg, Clayton Holmes (Joe) of Hamlet; grandchildren, Alyssa Pate, Angel Pate, Erica Dominquez, Juan Dominquez, Jamisyn Pate, Malaysia Childs, Nirali Salunke and Makayla Taylor.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 3 at noon at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham with Ken Lyerly Officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation following the service.
