ROCKINGHAM — Richard Grant Williams, 80, of Rockingham, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at his home.
Mr. Williams was born Jan. 16, 1943 in Marlboro County, South Carolina, a son of the late James F. and Jessie Grant Williams.
He had retired from the transportation shop at Pope Air Force Base.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Margaret Dawkins Williams; a daughter, Vicki W. Capps; and siblings, Stancil Williams, Reggie Williams, Hope Bryan, Kenneth Williams, Karen Williams, Gerald Williams and Janice Williams.
He is survived by his daughter, Sherri W. Graham; grandchildren, Holli Graham and Dylan Graham; and son-in-law, Terry “Cooter” Capps.
Private graveside services will be held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
