Richard Timothy “Timmy” Swanger, 71, of Hamlet, passed away Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond.
He was born Nov. 22, 1951, in Charlotte, son of the late William Swanger and Ola Barnette Swanger.
Timmy owned and operated waterproofing and sealants in prior years. He enjoyed doing his yardwork and especially loved his dogs. He was an easygoing person and got along with everyone. Timmy was a great father and a wonderful person.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Dale Swanger and Kenny Swanger.
Timmy is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia Swanger of the home; son, Tim Swanger (Paula) of Concord; and his beloved grandchildren, Chloe Swanger and Logan Swanger.
