Richard “Ricky” Wayne Chavis Jr., 53, of Hamlet, passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023 at his residence.
He was born Sept. 10, 1969 in Richmond County, son of the late Richard Wayne Chavis Sr. and Belinda Kay Smith.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his aunts and uncles, Mike Chavis of Rockingham, Barbara Barron of Florida, Sylvia Brumfield of Alabama, Jerry Smith of Hamlet, Randy Smith of Charlotte, and Doris Steen of Hamlet. He is also survived by several cousins and extended family.
