OBITUARY: Robert Dennis Ladner

ROCKINGHAM — Robert Dennis Ladner, 67, of Rockingham passed away peacefully at Richmond County Hospice Haven.

Robert is the son of the late Richard and Nettie Ladner. He was born on Jan. 21, 1956 in Meshoppen, Pennsylvania. Along with his parents, Robert is also predeceased by his brothers Richard and William.

Robert grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from Montrose High School. Robert was a mechanic for many years working for various companies repairing fork lifts, such as Proctor and Gamble and Delta Mills. Robert was a proud man that enjoyed his career. He took immense pride working as a correctional officer for Richmond County Sheriff’s Office. Outside of work, Robert was an avid fan of NASCAR. He was also an auxiliary member at the local Veterans of Foreign Wars chapter.

Robert is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jodi Ladner; children Angela Landis (Brett), Carrie Ladner; grandchildren Samantha, Piper, Phoebe and Dakota.

To honor Robert and his wishes, there will not be a memorial service planned. Instead, memorial donations can be made out to the local VFW chapter at 106 Old River Road, Rockingham, NC 28379; or Richmond County Hospice Haven at 1119 N U.S. Hwy 1, Rockingham, NC 28379.
