Robert “Bobby” Lee Moser Jr., born March 16, 1952, earned his heavenly home on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024 at Richmond County Hospice Haven, Rockingham.
He was a faithful member of Sweet Haven Church where he taught Sunday school until his health failed. Bobby’s favorite motto was “People do the best they can, when they know better, they will do better.”
Bobby spent four years in the United States Army and served 20 years in the Army National Guard. He was proud of his military service and to his last days did everything the Army way.
Bobby will be fondly remembered, by all who knew him, as a very quiet, humble man who never had a negative thing to say about anyone.
Bobby also spent 20 years employed by the City of Hamlet as the head of maintenance.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elsie Moser; sisters, Carol Johnson and Peggy Sellers.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 16 years, Connie Heath Moser of the home; three sons, Michael Moser (Chasity) of Laurel Hill, David Moser and Daniel Moser, both of Lexington, Kentucky; stepchildren, Will Brand of Rockingham and Rebecca McKay of Hamlet; three granddaughters, Christina and Brooklynn Moser of Lexington, Kentucky, and McKenna Moser of Laurel Hill.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024 from 11 a.m.-noon at Sweet Haven Church, Rockingham.
The funeral service will immediately follow visitation, beginning at noon, with Pastor Kane McKenzie officiating. Interment will be at Richmond County Memorial Park with full military honors.
