OBITUARY: Robin Eugene Leviner

Robin Eugene Leviner, 57, of Hamlet, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024 in Lilesville.

He was born Feb. 7, 1967 in Richmond County, son of Brenda Paul Sellers and the late John Henry Leviner.

Robin was an integral part of the community, retiring after 30 years as lieutenant with the Hamlet Fire Department. He also served as a paramedic during his tenure with Hamlet. After retirement, he was currently employed with FirstHealth of the Carolinas as a paramedic, in which he was great at. Robin loved his career and serving people in times of need and was a hard worker. He was well-loved and well-respected by his community and his peers, and to many, he was a real-life hero.

Robin was the most selfless person and would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. He especially had a love for children, wanting them to succeed. He was a champion to many throughout his life. Robin certainly had a love of cars and trucks, yardwork, and he was quite the sportsman when it came to hunting. He could also take nothing and make something beautiful out of it.

One of his greatest accomplishments and loves were his children. He was proud of them and loved them dearly. Robin loved all of his family and was involved and engaged as a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. His love of family was evident throughout his life and he will be sorely missed and never forgotten.

Along with his father, Robin is preceded in death by his stepfather, Bill Sellers; and brothers, Big John Leviner and Erick Sellers.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Samantha Mabe Leviner of the home; children, Cody Leviner of Rockingham, Justyn Leviner, Kevyn Leviner and Wanda Powell, all of Hamlet; his mother, Brenda Paul Sellers of Bennettsville, South Carolina; brothers, Shannon Leviner (Tammy) of Orlando, Florida, Joshua Leviner (Alana) of Whispering Pines, Derrick Sellers (Kimberly) of Bennettsville, South Carolina, and Blake Leviner (Peyton) of Rockingham; sister, Crystal Leviner (Christy) of Hamlet; mother of his children, Betsi Leviner; lifelong friends, Richard Lassiter, Calvin White and Mike Phillips; EMS partner, Mark Pacini; and many nieces and nephews, extended family, Hamlet Fire Department family, and FirstHealth EMS family.
