Roland Eugene Chavis, 44, of Rockingham, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 in Rockingham.
Roland was born on October 13th, 1979 to Jimmy Chavis Sr. and Martha Black Chavis of Rockingham.
Roland attended Richmond County Schools.
Roland was preceded in death by his mother and both sets of grandparents.
Those left to mourn his passing include his wife, Kellie Russell of Wilmington; a son, Justus Parker of Hamlet; his father, Jimmy Chavis Sr. of Asheboro; two brothers, JJ Chavis Jr. and Chris (Cooter) Chavis, both of Rockingham, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A private memorial service will be held on Aug. 17, from noon until at the house of a family member.
McNeill Funeral Home of Rockingham is assisting the family during their time of grief.
