HAMLET — Ronald “Ronnie” Allen Zachary, 74, of Hamlet, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023 at PruittHealth, Rockingham.
He was born Jan. 3, 1949, in Hoke County, son of the late Robert Donald Zachary Sr. and Thelma Yates Zachary.
Ronnie worked as a salesman with insurance in prior years. He was a member of Hamlet Pentecostal Holiness Church and reading/studying his Bible was an important part of his life. He was an avid UNC Tar Heels basketball fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Donald Zachary Sr. and Thelma Yates Zachary; and nephew, Ken Zachary.
Ronnie is survived by a daughter, Sherry Zachary; brothers, Robert Donald Zachary Jr. of Maine, William Zachary of Hamlet, and James Vernon Sims of Polkton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
All services will be held private by the family.
