HAMLET — Sarah Margaret Patrick, 82, of Hamlet, passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022 at her home.
She was born June 12, 1941 in Richmond County, a daughter of the Freddie Jackson and Mattie Burr Carpenter.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Patrick; a daughter, Connie Patrick Smith, sisters, Mary C. Watkins, Carrie C. Greene, Louise C. McCarn, Virginia C. Harrelson; brothers, Robert Carpenter and Eugene Carpenter.
Mrs. Patrick attended Amazing Grace Freewill Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Amazing Grace Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Dale Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Co. Memorial Park.
Surviving are her children, Glenda Patrick Davis (Earl) of Holden Beach, Steven Patrick (Loretta) of Hamlet and Shannon Criscoe (Tim) of Rockingham; grandchildren, Justin, Austin, Toni, Aimee, Timmy, Jenna, Jordyn and Jessika; great-grandchildren, Khloe, Sofia, Eric, Bean, Baylee, Thomas, Jonathan, Katie, Dylan and Sarah Grace; a sister, Hazel C. Johnson of Clearwater, Florida; brothers, Freddie (Bill) Carpenter and Ronnie Carpenter both of Rockingham.
The family will receive from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022 at Amazing Grace Freewill Baptist Church and at other times her home.
