OBITUARY: Sarah Renee Kellison Lee

Sarah Renee Kellison Lee, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished friend, passed on Monday, Nov. 4, 2024, at Hospice Haven in Rockingham, North Carolina.

Born on Nov. 22, 1978, Sarah’s joy and warmth into every life she touched, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and love.

Throughout her life, Sarah embraced her roles with a remarkable spirit and passion. She first distinguished herself as a compassionate Certified Nurse Assistant II before advancing her career as a Med Tech for Pinehurst Rehabilitation Center. Her commitment to her profession mirrored her deep care for those around her, earning her the admiration and love of colleagues and patients alike. Sarah’s nurturing nature was complemented by her academic achievement, having graduated from Sandhill Community College, where she not only gained knowledge but also formed lasting friendships.

Sarah was born into the Kellison family, the treasured daughter of John Thomas Kellison Jr. and Victoria Rose Gordon Kellison, who have preceded her in death. She blossomed into a remarkable woman who dedicated her life to her family, always viewing her loved ones as her proudest accomplishment. Sarah is survived by her beloved husband, Kenneth Lee, whose devotion to her was unwavering throughout their life together.

Her loving spirit lives on through her children: Susannah McNeil (Tyreek), Olivia Carter (Jaron), Samuel Hart and Caleb Hart. As a grandmother, Sarah found unparalleled joy in her grandchildren: Isaac McNeil, Elijah McNeal, Jordan Carter, Noah Carter and Halo Carter. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, and her laughter and wisdom will resonate with them forever.

Also mourning her loss is her dear sister, Rebekah Kellison Beck, who shared countless memories and a bond that will endure despite the sorrow of her passing. Sarah’s presence in this world was a gift, and her memory will continue to shine bright in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.

Beyond her professional achievements and familial devotion, Sarah’s essence was woven from the fabric of her funny, loving and kind personality. Her laughter, her compassion, and her unwavering support for others created an atmosphere of love that will be profoundly missed.

Funeral services for Sarah will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2024 at Laurel Hill Baptist Church in Candorwith the Rev. Todd Roseman officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to the service.

Sarah will be laid to rest in the church cemetery following the service.

As we celebrate the life of Sarah Renee Lee, we honor the profound impact she made in both the lives of her family and community. Her journey was marked not only by her significant achievements but by the love she spread effortlessly.
