ROCKINGHAM — Shannon Puckett Pankey, 52, of Rockingham, completed her earthly journey on Sunday, April 16, 2023.
Shannon was born Oct. 20, 1970 in Richmond County, a daughter of Carl and Sharon Puckett.
She was a member of Cartledge Creek Baptist Church, where she was active in the quilting ministry and worked with the City of Rockingham. She loved flowers, gardening, going to the beach and her family, especially spoiling her son.
Surviving are her husband, Mitchell Pankey; son, Justin Pankey; parents, Carl and Sharon Puckett; brother, Allen Puckett (Kim); sister, Sherri Gibson (Chris); her canine companions, Tasha and Diamond; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
A service to celebrate her life will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cartledge Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Lutz and the Rev. Robby Stewart officiating. The family will greet friends from 12:45–1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the church and at other times at the home.
