Stephen Ray Morse, 67, of Rockingham, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Richmond County Hospice Haven.
He was born Jan. 12, 1956, in Richmond County, son of the late Raymond Lee Morse and Willa Mae Dunn Morse.
Stephen worked as a truck driver during his working years. He loved to fish and ride around with his buddy taking in the scenery. He also loved raising his dogs. He was a wonderful, loving, humble person and would do anything to help anyone. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Johnnie Mae Lyde and Barbara Gail Cashwell; and brother, Richard Lee Morse.
Stephen is survived by his fiancé, Linda Lammonds of the home; sister, Sharon Prevatte of Hamlet; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Abundant Life Church with Pastor Joe Wilkes officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
