HAMLET — On Monday, Aug. 8, 2022, Mrs. Sue Cassidy Morris, 66, passed away peacefully at Hospice Haven in Rockingham with her family at her bedside.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022, in the chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Sue was born Dec. 23, 195 in Anson County, and was a daughter of Luther Lloyd Cassidy and the late Grace Elizabeth Knotts Cassidy.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 47 years, Jimmy Morris of the home; her children, Elizabeth Alejo, Tammy Mills, D.J. Morris and Victor Morris, all of Hamlet; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson; and her sisters and brother, Patsy Downer and Frances Calcutt, both of Rockingham, and Melvin Cassidy of Hamlet.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
