Timothy “Tim” Allen Grooms II, 23, of Rockingham, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024.
He was born July 17, 2001, in Marlboro County, South Carolina, son of the late Jonathan Lee Grooms and Larissa Anne Anderson.
Tim worked with Cascades Industries in Rockingham. He enjoyed spending time working on cars, trucks, and tractors. Tim was a football fan, pulling for the Baltimore Ravens. He loved cooking, and also using his smoker to cook and grill with. His macaroni and cheese was the best.
Among the many things Tim was good at, enjoyed, and loved, his favorite times were spending time with his family, especially his children. He loved them beyond words and he was known for giving the best hugs. Tim will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Larissa Anne Anderson and his father, Jonathan Lee Grooms.
Left to cherish Tim’s memories are the mother of his children, Elizabeth Dunn of the home; children, Greyson Jennings and Isaiha Calliham, both of the home; and his son due in April 2025; grandparents, Shirley Grooms of Virginia and Jim and Annette Parsch of Calabash; brother, Nicholas Grooms (Shakyma Stanback) of Cordova; sisters, Alex Vettle of Florida and Kasey Grooms of Rockingham; stepbrother, Brandon Johnson of Laurinburg; uncle, Nonnie McIntyre; aunt, Kim Moore (William); and close cousins, Brandon Paglia, Nick Stokes and Brian McLaughlin.
All services will be held privately by the family.
