ROCKINGHAM — Tiny Honeycutt Parker, 86, of Rockingham, passed away Friday, Feb. 10, 2023 at Pruitt Healthcare, Rockingham.
She was born Nov. 21, 1936, in Richmond County, daughter of the late Shugg Honeycutt and Sadie Hyatt Honeycutt.
Tiny worked previously as a quality control clerk in textiles. She attended Joy Free Will Baptist Church. She was very involved with Cordova Rescue as founder, along with her late husband Thomas Parker, and served as treasurer for many years. She continued serving as a volunteer with the rescue squad as long as she could. She loved her family unconditionally.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Parker; son, Bo Parker; and she was the last living sibling of 11 children.
Tiny is survived by her daughter, Ophelia Metropol (Mike) of Cordova; granddaughter, Nicki Parker (Jim McDonald) of Cordova; great-grandchildren, Caleb Gibson and Alexis Gibson; and daughter-in-law, Connie Parker of Cordova.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery, Wallace, South Carolina, with Pastor June Grant officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends at the home of her granddaughter, Nicki Parker, 256 Ledbetter St., Cordova.
