Virginia Marshbanks Davis, 74, of Hamlet, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond.
She was born Dec. 3, 1948, in Portsmouth, Virginia, daughter of the late Ralph Hampton Marshbanks and Ethel Lucille Stemand Marshbanks.
Virginia was a loving, giving person. She loved sharing Jesus with people and displaying a Christ-like personality. She loved being involved with her church, First Assembly of God, Rockingham. Her greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Deacon Wayne Davis; grandson, Ethan Carter; and brother, Roger Hampton Marshbanks.
Virginia is survived by her children, Roger Allen Davis and Alys Rosa Lee Canady, both of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Reilly Hampton Johnson and Aidan Bain Davis; sister, Sandi Marshbanks Williams (David) of Jacksonville; and family friend, Renee Carter of Hamlet.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, Aug. 4, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. at First Assembly of God, 160 Clemmer Road, Rockingham, with Pastor Gene Alexander officiating.
