Wilson “Bruno” Powell, of Hamlet — beloved son of Wilson and Billie Frances Powell, brother of Wallace Powell, and grandson of Seaboard railroad attorney in Hamlet, Wilson Powell Sr. — passed away peacefully on July 6, 2023 after a difficult illness.
Over the years, Bruno enjoyed railroads, vintage rock-and-roll music, walking, and writing poems. In his final days, he reached out anew to the Savior on high.
