ROCKINGHAM — Ollie Pearl Beavers, 74, of Rockingham, passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022 at Hospice Haven.
She was born June 20, 1947 in Rockingham, daughter of the late Oscar Underwood Poplin and Josie Lee Leviner Poplin.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ed Poplin and Jimmy Poplin; and sister, Mary “Lib” Poplin.
Mrs. Beavers is survived by her husband, David Delbert Beavers, of the home; children, Rodney Goins (Tammy) and Michael Goins, all of Hamlet, Dennis Goins (Lorie) of Statesville, David Goins (Elizabeth) of Fort Drum, New York, and Tracy Fuentes-Reyes (Julio) of Carthage; stepchildren, Sharon Hersack (Rick) of Dayton, Ohio, Linda Schellenberg (Blake) of Portland, Oregon, Deborah Swartz (Cal) of Yuba City, California, David Beavers Jr. (Tracy) of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Daniel Beavers (Jenny) of Rockingham; sisters, Linda Rivers (Jerry) of Charlotte and Erlene McDonald of Rockingham; 16 grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will greet guests Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022 from 1-2 p.m. at Abundant Life Church.
The memorial service will follow the visitation at 2 p.m., with Pastor Joe Wilkes officiating.
