ROCKINGHAM — Perrin Singletary Fields, 71, of Rockingham, departed this life on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019.
Mrs. Fields was born Nov. 6, 1947 in Richmond County, the daughter of the late Lee Gray and Ruth Grubb Singletary. For many years she worked as a teacher’s aide at Rohanen Primary School and later became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She loved spending time at the beach.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Barry Kent Fields.
Surviving are her children, Kent Fields (Gina) and Shannon Kelly (Billy), all of Rockingham; grandchildren, Justin and Brandon Fields, Cameron and Blake Kelly; great-grandchildren, Haylee and Dustin Fields and Kylie Kelly; and brother, Bill Singletary of Florida.
The Celebration of Life service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019 at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Pastor Roger Webster officiating.
The family will greet family and friends following the service at the funeral home.
