HAMLET — Polly Ann Robinson McDuffie Williams, 65, went to be with the Lord Friday, July 17, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born in Hamlet, Dec. 19, 1954, daughter of Archie Lee Robinson Sr. and Anne Hucks Robinson.

Polly loved people and was the sweetest, funniest person ever. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She was previously a bus driver for Richmond County Schools and retired from Carolina By-Products in 2013.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, July 22 at Clark Family Cemetery, Freeman Mill Road, Hamlet.A visitation will be held prior to service 10-11 a.m. at the cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Danny Lee McDuffie and Kenneth Ray Williams; brothers, Archie Lee “Al” Robinson and Joseph David “Joe” Robinson; and a grandson, Noah Daughtrey.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann McDuffie of the home; son, Lee McDuffie (Tara) of Rockingham; stepsons, Bryan Williams (Carol) of Virginia and Jeff Williams (Heather) of Hawaii; siblings, Ricky Robinson (Connie) of Georgia, Jack Robinson (Cindy) of Hamlet, Julie Standridge (Joe) of Hamlet and Terri Robinson of Hamlet; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and countless nieces and nephews.
