Ralph Hubert Krider

HAMLET — Ralph Hubert Krider, 86, passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020. A native of Erie, Pennsylvania, he was born May 10, 1934.

He had a 20-plus year career as a firefighter in Washington, D.C.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 17 years, Joyce Honeycutt Krider of the home; a special caregiver and stepdaughter, Jolene Williams of Hamlet; a stepson, Mark Perkins and wife, Shawn, of Littleton; five step-grandchildren; and his church family, who will miss him greatly.

Ralph was a faithful and dedicated member of Abundant Life Church where he served in numerous roles, including that of deacon for a number of years, and he sang with the choir. He was a special friend of Pastor Wilkes and enjoyed golf. He loved to laugh and especially enjoyed Chick-fil-A milkshakes whenever he could.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, at Richmond County Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Joe B. Wilkes Jr. Ralph will be laid to rest beside his first wife, Eva, who died in 1996.
