ROCKINGHAM — Rebecca Smith Gibson, 59, of Rockingham, passed on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.
Rebecca Smith Gibson was born on Nov. 10, 1962 to parents Steve Sharp and Judy Garganious.
Mrs. Gibson is survived by her son, Michael Gibson (Kenny) of Rockingham; sisters, Victoria Collins (Bo) of Rockingham, Peggy Smith Broadwater of Rockingham, April Garganious Baucom (Wilfred) of Hamlet, Gene Smith (Wendy) of Hamlet; her brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Katherine of Rockingham;her beloved dog and protector, “Red;” and several nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her beloved husband of many years, James “Wayne” Gibson; her mother; and a brother, Jessie Smith of Rockingham.
Arrangements will be decided by the family at a later date who will keep everyone informed.
