ROCKINGHAM — Ricky Lee Jordan, 53, of Rockingham, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022 at his home.
Ricky was born Jan. 8, 1969 in Richmond County, the youngest son of Bobbie Gibson Jordan and the late Bobby Allen Jordan.
He graduated from Richmond Community College and attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He worked for Great Dane Trailers in Savannah, Georgia, Bobby’s Furniture, construction work in Charleston, South Carolina, and various other miscellaneous jobs. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Rockingham.
Surviving are his mother, Bobbie Gibson Jordan; brothers, Allen Jordan and wife Cindy, Terry Jordan and wife Dawn, and Randy Jordan and wife Christy; nephews, Walt Wood and wife Randi, Brian Wood and wife Kristen, David Jordan and wife Casey, and Carson Jordan; nieces, Madison Jordan and Savannah Jordan; great-nephews, Jordan Wood, Nathan Wood, Graysen Wood, Blake Wood, Hudson Jordan, and Parker Jordan; great-nieces, Emma Rae Wood and Paislee Jordan; his aunt, Doris (Dot) Solomon; cousins and special friends.
The family will receive friends from 1–2:45 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2022 in the sanctuary of Second Baptist Church in Hamlet. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Chris Hawks officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Richmond County Memorial Park.
