ROCKINGHAM — Mr. Robert “Bobby” Laird Mauk Jr., 49, of Rockingham, passed away Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021.
Mr. Mauk was born Nov. 27, 1971, son of the late Robert Laird Mauk Sr. and Roberta Ann Looman.
He enjoyed fast cars and anything fast. He was known to be the life of the party and loved loud music.
He was predeceased by his parents; girlfriend, Stacy Taylor; brother, Jimmy Murphy; and sister, Brenda Malzer.
He is survived by his wife, Amelia Sue Hudson Mauk, of Rockingham; sons, Robert Laird Mauk III, of Rockingham, and Joseph Healy, of New York; daughters, Amelia Mauk Quick (John), of Bennettsville, South Carolina, Sasha Baldwin, of Pennsylvania, and Ashlee Hudson, of Rockingham; grandchildren, Eli, Julian, and Isabella; brothers, Eddie Murphy, Michael Murphy and Tom Alfredson, all of Rockingham, and David Mowry, of New York; sister, Lucy Mauk, of Gibson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church, Rockingham, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Gary Richardson officiating. Immediately following the service, a memorial ride will be held in honor of Mr. Mauk.
