ROCKINGHAM — Roger Dale Simmons, 71, of Rockingham, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2020.
He was born on May 22, 1948 in Columbus County, a son of the late Roy Barden Simmons and Genevieve Ward Simmons. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Griggs Simmons.
Surviving are his son, Roy Dale Simmons (Jennifer); stepsons, David Beggs (Genia), John Kevin Watts (Kim); grandchildren, Nick Beggs, Nicole Beggs, Katelyn Simmons, Roy Dale Simmons II, Ryan Watts, Kevin Watts; sisters, Virginia Todd, Shelby Peele, Norma Gomiller and Linda Stanley.
