ROCKINGHAM — Ronald M. “Ronnie” Hudson, 64, of Rockingham passed away Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
He was born Dec. 8, 1956 to Eugene T. “Gene” and Mary Catherine “Kitty” Graham Hudson.
He was the co-owner of Hudson Paving, Inc., which was started by his parents in 1961. He loved the family business and the employees and never met a stranger. He was a member of Cartledge Creek Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Dockery Cemetery, 992 Cartledge Creek Road, Rockingham with the Rev. Jason Lutz officiating. Due to COVID-19, we ask that you please wear a face mask and continue social distancing.
There will be a public viewing without the family present Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021 from 1-5 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 44 years, Donna Jenkins Hudson; his children, Crystal Hudson Greene and husband Richard, Chad Hudson and wife Ashleigh, and Paige Hudson O’Brien and husband Justin. His grandchildren were the loves of his life: Drew and Bryce Greene, Cooper and Grey Hudson and Aubrey O’Brien. Also surviving are his brother, Tom Hudson and wife Shari; his mother-in-law Betty Jenkins; and his brother-in-law Doug Jenkins.
