ELLERBE — Ruben Golden, 92, of Ellerbe, passed away on Jan. 5, 2021 at UNC Hospitals.
Ruben was born on Nov. 2, 1928 in Wythe, Virginia, a son of Ed and Frances Buchanan Golden.
He was a coal miner and was a sawmill worker.
He was Preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Harvey, Guy, Herston, Admar, Earnest, Basil, Roosevelt, Robert and Lorene Simmons.
He is survived by his sister, Pearl Golden of the home; and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021 at Ellerbe Cemetery.
