LANCASTER, S.C. — Sandra Renee “Sandy” Loftus, 50, formerly of Rockingham, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 22, 2021, at MUSC Medical Center in Lancaster.
She was a native of Richmond County, born Sept. 7, 1970, a daughter of the late Carroll Lee Aycoth and Marcia Kay James Aycoth.
Sandy was a 1988 graduate of Richmond Senior High School. Her career was that of a homemaker taking care of her family. Her greatest joy was being with her family, especially the grandchildren, and she also loved the outdoors.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her beloved significant other of 17 years, Richard Caskey, of the home; two daughters, Kristin Hair (Landon) and Taylor Loftus (Todd Denham), both of Hamlet; stepchildren, Heather Denkins (Tracy) and Kelly Caskey, both of Lancaster; six grandchildren, Charlotte, Carter and Elena Hair, Kye Denham, Dallas Denkins and Kinsley-Star Denkins; two sisters, Cindy Martin (Allen) and Gwen Aycoth; and four nieces/nephews, A.J. and Conner Martin and Will and Ashley Haywood.
A memorial service will be conducted at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 25 at Lancaster Funeral Home, 709 N. White St., Lancaster, SC 29720.
A visitation for family and friends will be at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham Wednesday, May 26, from 1 until 2:30 p.m. The family will have a graveside service at Richmond County Memorial Park following the visitation.
At other times, the family will receive friends at 114 Schultz Lane, Rockingham.
