Shirley Ann Hopkins Williams, 62, of Rockingham, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at her home.
Mrs. Williams was born November 2, 1955 in Lancaster County, SC, a daughter of the late Nolan Edison and Ruby Lee Snipes Hopkins. She had worked with Richmond Yarns and Lowe’s and had attended Trinity Emmanuel Holiness Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Hopkins and sister, Judy Emanuel.
Surviving are her husband, Wayne Williams of the home; children, Lisa Lyons, Sherry Williams, Kimberly Rainwater, Charles W. “Charlie” Williams, Jr, Jamie Williams, Johnny Williams, all of Rockingham, Joey Oxendine of Hamlet; 22 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Bill Hopkins of Wagram, Gary Hopkins of Lancaster, SC, David Hopkins of Rockingham, Carson Hopkins of Shallotte, Michael Hopkins of Whiteville and sister, Janet Radford of Ellerbe.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Trinity Emmanuel Holiness Church with Rev. Timmy Blackwell and Rev. Robbie Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Northam Cemetery.
The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home.
