ROCKINGHAM — Sybil Chase Mabe, 81, of Rockingham, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at Pruitt Health in Rockingham.
She was born Jan. 7, 1940 in Snow Hill, daughter of Henry Chase and Ethleen Head Chase.
Mrs. Mabe enjoyed her yard and loved to feed the birds and squirrels that came to visit. She loved to laugh and loved life in general. She was a very attentive wife and a good mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Mabe; sons, James Timothy Strickland and Terry Vance Strickland; brother, Kenneth Chase; and her cat, Frisky.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Strickland Reynolds of Hamlet and Brenda Strickland of Cordova; sister, Patricia Head of Snow Hill; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
All services will be private.
