CORDOVA — Vivian King Roberts, 73, of Cordova, completed her earthly journey on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022.
Mrs. Roberts was born July 5, 1948 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Julian Martin King Jr. and Lila Mae Rogers King.
She retired after 20 years as secretary for Troop H, District II of the North Carolina Highway Patrol. She was a longtime member of Cordova United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir. Spending time at Myrtle Beach was one of her favorite pasttimes.
She is survived by her husband, James “Jimmy” Roberts; sons, Dean Roberts (Robin) and Sean Roberts (Kim); grandchildren, Rusty Roberts, Hannah Roberts Roscoe (Cody), Ally Roberts, Raven Roberts and Emily Roberts; great-grandchildren, Holland and Lennon Roscoe; brother, Jesse King (Janet), and sister, Ora Mae Smith.
A service giving thanks for and in celebration of her life will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022 at Cordova United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tug Gainey officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Richmond County Hospice, 1119 U.S. Hwy 1 N, Rockingham, NC 28379.
