ROCKINGHAM — Wade Clinton Benton Jr., 57, passed away, Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021 at his home.
He was born Oct. 26, 1964 in Fort Stewart, Georgia, the son of the late Wade Clinton and Patrica Kazo.
Wade graduated from Richmond Senior High School and completed an associate degree in Automotive Technology.
Wade was a loving husband, Daddy, Papa and friend. Wade enjoyed the outside. He was a Cub Scout leader until becoming ill. He loved tinkering with any and everything, he was a jack of all trades. He was also a lover of all animals.
He leaves to cherish fond memories, his wife, Lynn Jacobs of Rockingham; children, Alicia Carpenter (James), Wade Clinton Benton III (Bethany), Patricia G. Benton, Christopher Patterson, all of Rockingham, and Gracie Parrisher and Dallas Parrisher, both of Rockingham, Jeremy Lynch and Ashleigh Lynch of Rockingham; 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Wade had a good friend, Ronald Goodwin, that he enjoyed having around but mostly had a special love for so much, he considered him his “Pops.” He also loved and enjoyed his German shepherd mix “Sheba.”
The family has chosen to unite to honor Wade with a Celebration of Life on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Hitchcock Creek Trail, 615 Steele Street, Rockingham. A memorial service for Wade will be held at a later date.
