On July 22, 2019, Edwina “Wendy” Wright Snipes, 52, went home to be with the Lord.
She was born on July 22, 1967 in Richmond County. She was the daughter of Shirley Wright and Marcus Wright.
Wendy was a member of Good News Freewill Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and her church family dearly.
Her memory will be cherished by her husband, William “Willie” Snipes Jr., daughter, Angel Shankle; son, William “Boe” Snipes III; mother, Shirley Wright; father, Marcus Wright; grandchildren, Cayden and Robbie Shankle; and aunt, Joann London.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 26 at 5 p.m. at Rockingham Church of God of Prophecy. Burial will follow at Northam Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Rockingham Church of God of Prophecy and other times at the home of her daughter at 119 McQueen St., Rockingham.
