Richmond County awarded $75K to demo vacant industrial site

The former Tartan Yacht facility will be torn down, thanks to a $75,000 demolition grant from the Rural Infrastructure Authority of the N.C. Department of Commerce.

HAMLET — The county won’t have to cough up any coin from its coffers to demolish a dilapidated former boat building facility.
