HAMLET – On Saturday, September 23, Rebecca Rainwater and her mother, Lorie, put together a free event for the public for direct sell and small businesses in Richmond County called the “Faithfully Shopping Spree.” The event was held at the Cole Auditorium from 2 to 6 p.m.

ROCKINGHAM — Hundreds of shoppers gathered at Lidl on Thursday morning to see what the new grocery store has to offer.

The parking lot of the German grocery chain was packed full of shoppers, anticipating good deals. And the line outside, wrapped around the side of the building, while the staff greeted customers and handed out reusable shopping bags. Doors opened at 8:00 a.m. following a ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Steve Morris.

ROCKINGHAM -- On Friday, the Richmond County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony and grand re-opening for Badcock & More Home Furniture. The Chamber of Commerce, store associates, and owners Larry and Nancy Woodall were some of those in attendance. Rockingham Mayor Steve Morris said a few words, providing his wisdom and support for the new owners.
