Festival at Old Main offers family fun

PEMBROKE — The annual Festival at Old Main will be held from noon to 4 p.m. at UNC Pembroke on April 23.

The event is free and open to the public. There will be live music, inflatables, games, novelty items, food, a photo booth and fun for the entire family. Activities will be held on the Quad between Old Main and Livermore Library.

In case of inclement weather, activities will be moved to the University Center and Jones Center. Those affiliated with the university are asked to bring their UNCP Braves Card.

The event began in 1990 as Family Day. It was initially held to encourage the participation of those who are unable to attend campus events during the week and to allow their families to share in the activities.

It is hosted by the Office of Campus Engagement and Leadership (CEL). CEL invites students, faculty, staff and the community to come out and celebrate the 30-year tradition of connecting the community and university.
