LETTER: Mayor thanks sponsors for Norman Fest

To the editor:

What a beautiful sunny day we had from morning to night — 73 degrees for the daytime and a cool 65 for when the sun went down. It had been a few years that rain was not in the forecast. Our crowd was fantastic. Dealing with the hurricanes the weeks before, l think we all were ready to enjoy an outing of some kind.

These events could not and would not happen if not for the sponsors:

Richmond County Tourism; Pee Dee Electric; Riverstreet Networks; Griffin Nissan; BB&T; Sugg Logging; Duke Energy; G-104 FM; Harris Printing; WAYN 900 AM; Matt’s Shop N Save; Coletrane Signs; Allen Brothers Timber Co.; Duck Donuts; Bluegrass Farm; Champion Ford; Jack’s Supply; Passin’ Time Farm; Triple L Farms; Ellerbe Heating and Air; Dewitt’s Outdoor Sports;Montgomery Ford and Lincoln; S.A. Pro Audio; Witherspoon Heat and Air; Welch’s Cattle Farm; Ellerbe Pharmacy; Montgomery Insurance; K&M Machine Co.; Rep. Ken Goodman; Bynum Peach Farm; Sen. Tom McInnis; Uwharrie Mountain Radio; American Legion Post 316; The Funnell Cake Guy; and Double D Farms.

Norman Fest will be 10 years old this coming year.

Thank you all for the support.

Kenneth Broadway,

Norman mayor
