ROCKINGHAM — Capacity crowds are expected for Friday’s second-round playoff game and Richmond Senior High School’s football program has announced pre-sale tickets are now available.

The announcement came from the Raider football team’s official Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon.

Fresh off of their first-round bye, the undefeated and No. 1 seeded Raiders (11-0) and head coach Bryan Till will welcome in No. 8 Hough High School (8-4) to Raider Stadium. It will be the first time in program history Richmond will play the Huskies in either the regular or postseason.

Because it is the playoffs, and per the North Carolina High School Athletic Association, tickets are now $8 apiece. No booster passes will be accepted at the gate. Reserved seat holders will still be able to access their seats, but must buy a ticket for entrance to the game.

Tickets can be purchased at Richmond Senior’s front office. Other places around Richmond County that have them for sale are Family Pharmacy and Medical Center Pharmacy in Rockingham, Ellerbe Pharmacy and Mabry’s Drug and Home Care in Hamlet.

Friday’s game is also a “black out” for interested fans, per the RSHS student senate Twitter page. Fans are encouraged to wear black apparel to support the Raiders. Tickets will also be sold at the gate if seats are still available.

Head principal Jim Butler also announced earlier in the afternoon there will be a pep rally bonfire at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday near the softball field on Richmond’s campus. More information will be provided as it becomes available.

ROSports will publish a complete game preview between the Raiders and Huskies in Thursday’s edition. Kickoff is set for Friday at 7:30 p.m. with a trip to the third round on the line.
