ROCKINGHAM — Thursday’s first voluntary football workout at Richmond Senior High School may have looked a lot different from years past, but it was a breath of fresh air for coaches and players.

Following the North Carolina High School Athletic Association’s COVID-19 safety guidelines, approximately 70-75 Raider football players worked out at three different sites. Head coach Bryan Till’s program was the first Richmond team to begin workouts.

In this ROSports exclusive interview, Till talks about how good it was to be back out on the field with his players and how much the sense of normalcy means to the team.

He also breaks down what workouts will look like in the future, highlights some of the safety protocols the Raiders are following and explains his reaction to the extended Phase Two restrictions by Gov. Roy Cooper and the potential impact it will have on the season.
