“Basics” of Alzheimers and Dementia Seminar to be Offered by Richmond County Department of Social Services

HAMLET – For those needing a helping hand in understanding the “basics” of Alzheimer’s and dementia, a local seminar is here to provide assistance.

The Alzheimer’s Association, along with Richmond County Department of Social Services, Richmond County Aging and Lumber River Council of Governments will be hosting a training on “The Basics of Alzheimer’s Disease and Creating a Dementia Capable Community” on February 8, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Cole Auditorium.

This seminar is an educational program presented by the Alzheimer’s Association.  Alzheimer’s disease is not a normal part of aging, and for anyone being affected by Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, it’s time to learn the facts. This program provides information on detection, causes and risk factors, stages of the disease, treatment and much more.
