MRH-Richmond earns national award for quality

ROCKINGHAM — Highlighting its nationally recognized achievements in patient safety and quality, FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital–Richmond was named a Top Rural Hospital by The Leapfrog Group for the first time. Announced today, The Leapfrog Top Hospital award is widely acknowledged as one of the most competitive honors American hospitals can receive. The Top Hospital designation is awarded by The Leapfrog Group, an independent hospital watchdog organization.

Richmond vs. Scotland: The History of the Rivalry

ROCKINGHAM – In the last six seasons, Scotland High School’s varsity football program has managed to do something that no other school has been able to match in the last 46 years – they have defeated the Richmond Raiders six consecutive times.  That accomplishment is just one of the many elements that has molded this annual meeting of neighbors into North Carolina’s biggest high school football rivalry.
