CHARLOTTE — Fans traveling to Richmond Senior High School’s away basketball games at Myers Park will be asked to follow certain criteria before admittance.
Information released by Richmond’s athletic director Mike Way on Friday states all tickets to the Lady Raider and Raider games will be sold at the door only. There are no pre-sale tickets available.
The price per admission is $8 a ticket and no cash will be accepted. Myers Park does accept debit cards and Apple Pay.
Tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth outside of the gymnasium entrance.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools also has a new bag policy, which also requires all bags to be scanned before entering.
Approved bags are 6” x 9” x 2” or smaller, which include small purses, small belt bags or clutches/wallets.
Prohibited bags are ones any larger than those dimensions, such as backpacks, drawstring bags, large purses or tote bags.
Medical bags and diaper bags will be screened separately.
The boys’ and girls’ junior varsity teams will play ahead of the varsity teams on Tuesday. The Lady Raiders are expected to start at 6 p.m., which will be their third game of the season.
That will be followed by the Raiders meeting the Mustangs in a rematch of last year’s NCHSAA 4A state title game. It will be the season opener for the Raiders and head coach Donald Pettigrew.
