2018 Aging Conference: "Charting the Course to Better Aging"

LUMBERTON - You can now register for the 2018 Aging Conference "Charting the Course to Better Aging." You can register online at https://conta.cc/2ClOpHT, but you will have to mail in the registration fee.  

Lumber River Area Agency on Aging (LRAAA) and Southern Regional Area Health Education Center (SR-AHEC) are hosting an Aging Conference “Charting the Course to Better Aging.”  The conference will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. at the Southeastern Agricultural Center (1027 US Hwy 74 E, Lumberton, NC 28358).  This one day conference will feature multiple tracks with educational offerings for both the Healthcare Professionals and the Caregivers who work with and care for older adults. CEU’s are available for Healthcare Professionals and Adult Care Home Staff.

Charting the Course for Better Aging Thursday, October 04, 2018

Target Audience Healthcare providers who work with and care for older adults such as Nurses, Social Workers, Physical and Occupational Therapists, and Caregivers Program Description This one day conference will feature multiple tracks with educational offerings for both the Healthcare Professionals and the Caregivers who work with and care for older adults. Sessions will include topics related to Elder Abuse, Medicare 101, Living Longer and Smarter, Positive Approaches with Caregivers, Opioid Use/Abuse, Creative Aging, Technology with Older Adults, among other important topics. Objectives Discuss the healthcare professionals’ role in supporting the healthy outcomes of the older patient.
